Mental health encompasses a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how individuals think, feel, and act, influencing how they handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

HIV/STD testing
HIV/STD testing is for everyone but more so if you are sexually active. It is best practice to get tested for HIV every six months and screen for other STDs as well. HIV and STDs are often transmitted when people are unsure of their status. We offer full panel testing that test for a wide range of STIs.

STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)
Also referred to as STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections). These are infections that are usually spread through sexual activity. They may or may not cause initial symptoms. Therefore, it is important to get tested regularly.

The Adult Outpatient Programs
- Locations in: Markham and Arlington Heights.
- Providing quality, evidence-based substance use treatment and educational services to adults.
- Specialized groups offered for mental health therapy.
The Day Treatment Programs
- Locations in: Markham and Arlington Heights.
- Providing quality, evidenced-based services to patients with substance use problems by utilizing cognitive behavioral group therapy, network therapy, individual counseling, motivational interviewing, and family intervention as needed.
- If a patient has an infant or small child, the child may attend treatment with their parent.
Medication Assisted Treatment
Naltrexone (Vivitrol)
is a medication used to treat both opioid and alcohol use disorders. The injectable extended-release form of the drug (Vivitrol) is administered once a month and blocks the effects of opiates and alcohol.
Buprenorphine
is used to help individuals reduce or quit their use of heroin or other opiates, such as pain relievers like morphine. Medications such as buprenorphine, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of opioid dependency. When taken as prescribed, buprenorphine is safe and effective.
Methadone
is a medication used to help individuals reduce or quit their use of heroin or other opiates. It has been used for decades to treat people who are addicted to heroin and narcotic pain medicines. When taken as prescribed, it is safe and effective. It allows people to recover from their addiction and to reclaim active and meaningful lives.

Weare a private, not-for-profit community-based organization and advocators whose sole purpose is providing comprehensive care for people living with and seeking treatment for Mental Health, HIV as well as other STDs. To this aim, we provide wide-ranging and holistic care for our patients, their families, and their partners.
